PE Kit Reminder
Please remember that all children need to come to school in their PE kit every Tuesday. Please could you make sure that they are wearing leggings in the colder, wetter weather.
No PE kit will mean they will have to go to another class with work to do.
Many thanks.
Water Bottles
Please could all children bring a labelled water bottle to school for their own personal use during the day.
Earrings
Please could children remove jewellery prior to PE lessons on a Tuesday. Staff are unable to remove earrings for children, nor are we allowed to cover with plasters. Please provide your child with plasters, if necessary.
School Uniform
Please remember that all children should wear school uniform for the duration of the school day. Children are permitted to wear boots or trainers for outdoor use but should have black school shoes in school to change into.
Homework
Homework will be given on Thursdays to be completed by the following Thursday. Completed homework will be rewarded with Dojo points.
Reading and Library Books
Reading books are changed when finished, providing an adult/family member has signed the reading record book.
Times tables
At the end of Year 4 all children will take a national times tables test. Please encourage your child to learn all of their tables by the end of Year 4. Year 5 children should continue to practice their tables to improve speed and accuracy of recall.
TT Rockstars is a fantastic resource which will support your child’s learning.
Common Exception Words for Spelling
Above are the lists of words for each Key Stage. These are the words that the children are expected to be able to read and spell by the end of Year 4 (for Year 4's) and Year 6 (for Year 5's). Please help your child with learning them as well as their usual weekly spellings.
