Year 3 & 4
Please find our learning plans for each week of school closure.
You all have a home learning pack so feel free to work through this at your own pace. This pack will be refreshed regularly and I will contact you via Class Dojo to let you know when the latest pack is available.
Please continue using Bug Club for reading, Purple Mash, TT Rockstars and Sumdog.
If you have any problems, please message me in the usual way.
Week commencing 18.5.20 - for children who do Maths and English with Mrs Dowson
Welcome to Year 3/4
Our teachers are Mrs Dowson, Mrs Lysiak, Mrs Bennion and Mrs Walker.
Class Dojo is the quickest way to contact us directly.
If you have any questions, please come and see either Mrs Dowson or Mrs Lysiak.
PE Kit Reminder
Please remember that all children require full PE kit to be in school.
If your child is attending a sports club, please could they bring alternative kit to change into.
No PE kit will mean they will have to go to another class with work to do.
Please could all children bring a labelled water bottle to school for their own personal use during the day.
Please could children remove jewellery prior to PE lessons. Staff are unable to remove earrings for children, nor are we allowed to cover with plasters. Please provide your child with plasters, if necessary.
Please remember that all children should wear school uniform for the duration of the school day. Children are permitted to wear boots or trainers for outdoor use but should have black school shoes in school to change into.
All homework is set on a Tuesday, due in the following Tuesday. Don’t forget homework club is available in school; contact the office for further details.
Reading and Library Books
Reading books are changed when finished, providing an adult/family member has signed the reading record book.
At the end of Year 4 all children will take a national times tables test. Please encourage your child to learn all of their tables by the end of Year 4.
TT Rockstars is a fantastic resource which will support your child’s learning.
Common Exception Words for Spelling
Here are the lists of words for each Key Stage. These are the words that the children are expected to be able to read and spell by the end of Year 4. Please help your child with learning them as well as their usual weekly spellings.
