Home Learning advice and support

Below you will find a lot of advice and support for helping your children while they are off school:

You child's class teacher will be keeping in regular contact using Classdojo. They will be checking in with you as well as posting video messages to the children.  Please feel free to contact them using Dojo if you have any questions about their work or feel that they need some more provided for them.

  • BBC Teach Whether you're at home or at school, you can use BBC Teach for free. The website is home to thousands of free curriculum-mapped videos, arranged by age-group and subject.
  • Twinkl A Parents' Guide to Using Twinkl Without a PC or Printer
  • PlanBee They have more than 750 FreeBees that parents and teachers can download free of charge, including our tailored Home Learning Packs. They also have a suggested home learning timetable with activity ideas.

  • Lancashire LPDS LPDS TV has been devised for teachers, parents and children, offering short and simple tips, games and activities to keep children engaged with home learning.
  • BBC Bitesize Daily Lessons No school? With a new TV channel, podcasts, videos, and lessons each day online, we’ve got you covered.
  • Super Sentence Stackers Daily YouTube lessons: 9:45am is Film Focus, 10:30am is the lesson and 12:30pm is Globe Trotting Celebrations
  • I See Maths Information, resources and links for the daily home maths lessons hosted by Gareth Metcalfe
Here are some other ideas to do with your children:
  • Youth Sport Trust These are general fun physical activities for children to do throughout the day as a way to get active, have fun as a family and break up the day. Examples include hide and seek, den or fort building and 'hot potato' ball games.
  • Chatter Pack A list of free, online, boredom-busting resources!
  • STEM Learning Free resources for home learning and continuing in-school delivery
  • Century Tech Free English, maths and science courses during school closure.
  • Wellbeing Wednesday Wellbeing lessons that can be aired in the classroom, kitchen or lounge. These videos will be rolled out every Wednesday at 10am
  • The great Indoors While we normally love the great outdoors,they have pulled together some inspired indoor activity ideas. Keep your kids learning new skills and having fun.
  • Learning Projects The Robin Hood Trust have put together some home learning projects that parents and children can do together
  • Epic Free Remote Access Available
  • Prodigy The engaging, curriculum-aligned math platform.
