Welcome
Headteacher’s Welcome
Welcome to St Augustine’s School.
At St Augustine’s we provide a caring, inclusive school community in which children can feel happy, safe and secure. We strive to ensure that all children grow to their full potential; academically, socially, morally and spiritually and we encourage them to develop their interests and talents and to become caring, considerate members of society.
The standards of behaviour at our school are exceptional and visitors to the school frequently comment on the ethos of our school and the politeness of our children. The way our whole school treats one another is hugely important to us as we want our children to be good citizens as well as good learners.
We have high aspirations for all and are proud of our achievements. At the heart of all teaching and learning are the St Augustine’s Values of Manners, Responsibility, Care & Compassion, Respect, Honesty & Truth, Peace, Patience & Tolerance, Thoughtfulness, Forgiveness & Justice and Friendship.
At St Augustine’s we feel it is important to reflect and support the very diverse community we are part of. We have children from lots of different backgrounds, cultures and faiths, with a range of home languages. In everything we do in school we strive to unite everyone into one school community and to reflect our school motto:
‘Unique and United in God’s love. We let our light shine.’
We are all very proud of our school and would invite prospective parents/ carers to visit us in person so that you can see for yourself how happy and confident the children are at our school.
