Policies
At St Augustine's we are fully committed to meeting our responsibilities under the Public Sector Equality Duty as set out in the Equality Act 2010. We actively promote equality and diversity and work to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity, and foster good relations across all areas of school life.
We aim to ensure that every pupil, parent, staff member, and visitor is treated fairly and with respect, regardless of their protected characteristics, which include age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
In line with our legal duties, we:
Publish equality objectives and review them regularly;
Monitor the impact of our policies and practices on equality and inclusion;
Promote an inclusive curriculum that reflects the diverse society in which we live;
Provide opportunities for pupils to learn about equality and celebrate diversity;
Train staff and governors to be aware of and act on their equality duties.
Through our policies, curriculum, and daily interactions, we strive to create a school environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued.
