Acorn Provision

Welcome to the Acorn Provision

We are a 7 place enhanced mainstream provision for pupils with complex learning needs. All of the children in the provision are part of a mainstream class and have their own class teacher also. The aim of the Acorn Provision is to provide a happy, safe and nurturing environment for our children, giving them the skills to reach their full potential through engaging activities.

In the Acorn Provision, the children follow a sensory-enriched, individualised curriculum focusing on the development of core life skills, communication and social understanding. Through living language and practical activities the children develop their academic and social skills, whilst following a broad and balanced curriculum. We want to prepare our children for the next stage in their education, and in later life. Our classroom is kept calm and highly structured with minimal stimuli, to promote positive attitudes and good behaviour.
