Our topic this half term is Journeys. I want you to think about the traditions you have in your family. What are the highlights of your year? Who is with you on the journey? What makes it good? Are there any difficult times in the year? What helps you? If you were going on a journey, who would you like as a companion?
I would like you to have a think about the traditions you celebrate, both religiously and non-religiously. Have a go at answering the questions below. Remember a big part of RE is about thinking about the impact these events have on your religion and the religion of others.

This week, we are going to be carrying on with our Journey's topic. We will be looking at the Church's journey through its Liturgical Year.
During the Liturgical Year, a priest wears different coloured robes. This is for each season. I have put together some information for you to read through. Can you please read the information in the picture and then download the worksheet below and fill in the missing gaps.
The second task you need to do is fill in the pie chart in the middle. Each segment represents a different period in the Liturgical Year.
The final task is for you to do a bit of research yourself. Can you find out about the different seasons and write about them. You will find this on page two of the worksheet.
