About us

Welcome to the happy and vibrant school that is St Augustine’s Catholic Primary School. We are a caring diverse community with Christ at the centre. We offer a welcoming environment where the uniqueness of each child is valued, and similarities celebrated. Our motto states: ‘Unique and United in God’s love. We Let Out Light Shine’.

St Augustine’s is one of the founder members of Mater Ecclesiae Catholic Multi Academy Trust and, with six other schools, is part of St John XIII Parish but served by the Parish of St Wilfrid’s. At St Augustine’s, we work as a team where parents, staff, parish, governors and the Trust are all involved in the education of our children.

Our children love their school and thrive due to the ambitious and carefully sequenced curriculum we have in place. We believe in providing a first-class education for all pupils. We know that in order to achieve this, our children need to be happy, safe and inspired to learn during their time with us. Experienced and dedicated staff ensure that all our children benefit from a curriculum that is constantly adapted to meet their individual needs.
